2009 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest
The Silver Slipper Casino is proud to host a sanctioned preliminary competition for the
Ultimate Elvis® Tribute Artist contest. This is the third year that Elvis Presley Enterprises
has held a contest in search of The Elvis Tribute Artist that is the "best representation of the
legacy of Elvis Presley."
The contest at the Silver Slipper Casino will be held Friday and Saturday, July 17-18, 2009.
All contestants will be backed by the live band “XPG.” For years “XPG” has been the full-time band
for the 2008 Ultimate Elvis® Tribute Artist‘s Grand Champion Brandon Bennett. Being from Ponchatoula, Louisiana, Brandon Bennett is one of the primary entertainment acts that play regularly on the
Silver Slipper Casino stage!
The winner of the July 17-18 Silver Slipper Casino preliminary competition will receive $1,000 cash and
entry to compete in the qualifying rounds that will take place during Elvis Week 2009 in August.
Second place will receive $500 cash and Third place will receive $250 cash. The Grand Champion of the
Ultimate Elvis® Tribute Artist during Elvis Week 2009 in August will win a prize package that includes

If you’re a fan and would like to watch, spectators are welcome. Admission is free at the
Silver Slipper Casino stage. The competition on Friday and Saturday, July 17-18, 2009, begins at 7:30pm.
