Silver Slipper Casino to Once Again Host Sanctioned Preliminary
Ultimate Elvis® Competition

Hancock County – June 8, 2010  –Silver Slipper Casino has been selected, once again, to host a sanctioned preliminary competition, July 23-24, for the Ultimate Elvis® Tribute Artist Contest. This is the fourth year that Elvis Presley Enterprises has held a contest in search of The Elvis Tribute Artist that best represents the legacy of Elvis Presley. “We’re honored to be selected a second year to host one of only a dozen world-wide sanctioned preliminary competitions,” stated John N. Ferrucci, COO and General Manager for Silver Slipper Casino.
“The talent and turnout, last year, was amazing and we’re expecting it to be even greater, this year.”

The winner of the Silver Slipper Casino UETAC contest will receive $1,000 cash and an opportunity to compete in The 2010 Ultimate Elvis® Tribute Artist Contest finals, presented by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. in Memphis during the annual Elvis Week, in August. The Second Place winner in the Slipper’s preliminary competition will receive $500 cash and Third Place will receive $250 cash. The Grand Champion of the Ultimate Elvis® Tribute Artist Contest will win a prize package that includes $20,000 cash (See: www.elvis.com/ultimatecontest ).

The competition at Silver Slipper Casino is limited to only 15 contestants and the deadline for entries is Wednesday, July 21. Interested contestants can apply at Silver Slipper Casino’s website, www.silverslipper-ms.com  on the promotion and entertainment page.

All contestants will be backed by the live band "XPG. For years, "XPG" has been the full-time band for Brandon Bennett, the 2008 Ultimate Elvis® Tribute Artist Contest’s Grand Champion and a native of Ponchatoula, Louisiana
