Slidell Player Takes High Prize in Silver Slipper’s
“$75,000 Bad Beat Poker”
Hancock County – January 19, 2011 – Silver Slipper Casino’s new “Bad Beat Poker” $75,000 Jackpot was hit Sunday, January 16, 2011 in the Slipper’s Poker Room. Allen H. of Slidell, LA won $37,500 for the low hand and James G. of Diamondhead, MS won $18,750 for the high hand. Eight other players each won $2,400 in the Bad Beat Poker Game.
Typically in Bad Beat Poker, the jackpot is usually split among all players sitting at the table at the time of the “bad beat” with the losing hand winning the largest share and the winning hand receiving the next largest share.
All other players at the table divide the remainder of the jackpot, equally. Generally, only the best losing hand is eligible to win the largest share, even if another hand also qualifies.
However, specific rules, collections, payout percentages, and amounts vary greatly from one casino poker room to another. Please contact Silver Slipper Casino’s Poker Room for additional details and rules regarding the Slipper’s Bad Beat Poker and Mini Bad Beat Poker games. As always, players must be 21 years of age to play at Silver Slipper Casino.
