Silver Slipper Casino Celebrates
Nominees and Winners for
Employee and Supervisor/Manager of the Year 2011

Hancock County – January 16, 2012 –Silver Slipper Casino hosted a Banquet in honor of its nominees for Employee and Supervisor of the Year 2011. Monthly Silver Slipper Casino employees are selected by secret ballot to be named Employee and Supervisor of the Month.  At the end of the year all eligible Monthly Winners are then selected as Nominees for the coveted title of Employee and Supervisor/Manager of the Year.

2011 Employee of the Year nominees were: Jonathan Berendsen, Blue Bayou; Rae Bourgeois, Keno; William Bryan, Table Games;  Marsha Carver, Buffet; Deborah Cruse,  Purchasing; Ruben Gonzalez, Table Games; Leo Kuylen, Slots; Jahna Landry, Keno; Trinh Le, Table Games; Joan Marlow, Table Games; Jason McNulty, Table Games; Stacie Meadows, Security; Jacqueline Melancon, Buffet; Milan Popovic, Slots; Ashley Rice, Revenue Audit; Nacole Saucier, Beverage; Jonathan Schneider, Valet; Lillian Trahan, Table Games; Angi Truebner-Webb, Finance; Jennifer Tucker, Hula’s; Cheryl Walsh, Beverage; Walter Williams, Housekeeping; and Iris Willis, Slots.

2011 Nominees for Supervisor/Manager of the Year were: Joey Amann, Hula’s Sous Chef; Karyn Christiansen, Casino Accounting Supervisor; John Compton, Buffet Sous Chef; James Dunlap, Facilities Supervisor; Joe Franklin, Cage & Credit Manager; Russell Gilgert, Facilities Supervisor; Don Goss, Table Games Supervisor; Albert Jenkins, Slots Manager; Mary Menasco, Controller; Kate Smith, Food & Beverage Manager; Frank Thebeau, Security Supervisor; and Betty Wandell, Table Games Manager.

Nominees along with their guests and Directors were treated to a cocktail reception and dinner at the Blue Bayou Bar & Grill.  All nominees were recognized and received a silver pin only worn by the Employee and Supervisor/Manager of the Year Nominees. John Ferrucci, GM/COO ended the evening by announcing the winners of each category.

Angi Truebner-Webb, Financial Marketing Analyst, was named the 2011 Employee of the Year. Angi has been with Silver Slipper since February 2010. 

James Dunlap, Facilities Supervisor, was named the 2011 Supervisor/Manager of the Year. James is a day one employee having been with the Silver Slipper since September 2006.

Each of the winners received an engraved crystal Slipper, $500 cash and travel voucher to travel anywhere in the world valued at $2,000.
