Silver Slipper Casino Recognized by the
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast
Hancock County – October 10, 2011 – Silver Slipper Casino received the “2011 Outstanding Supporter” Award, October 4, from the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast during the Clubs’ 44th Annual Inauguration and Awards Luncheon held in Biloxi. The event is held annually to honor board members, community members and employees, for service and dedication throughout the year. Silver Slipper employees, Victoria Langlinais and Deborah Cogley, serve on the Hancock County Unit Board of Directors and accepted the award on behalf of the Slipper.
As in years past, Silver Slipper sponsored a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser benefiting the local Hancock County Unit Boys & Girls Club whose mission is “to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring responsible citizens.” The Gulf Coast Chapter has five club locations throughout the Gulf Coast, serving an average 1,300 youth, ages 5 to 18 years of age, per day. “The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast are true to their mission and we’re proud to support them in that mission,” stated John N. Ferrucci, COO and General Manager of Silver Slipper Casino.
