WAVELAND -- Greeted by nearly 2,000 adoring fans, Michael Grimm and his band Delta Bound performed a free concert Sunday night on The Stage Bar at the Silver Slipper Casino in Waveland.
The winner of last year’s “America’s Got Talent” on NBC, Grimm’s nearly two-hour set included songs that he performed during the nationally televised competition including, “You Can Keep Your Hat On”, “Tired of Being Alone” and “You Don’t Know Me.” Additionally, songs “Old Biloxi” and “Packy Way/Igo Igo” were among songs performed.
“He did a wonderful show considering that he sang nearly the entire route of the Nereids Mardi Gras parade as grand marshal,” said Silver Slipper Events and Promotions Manager David Hilbert. “He nailed it and did an excellent job.”

According to Hilbert, about 200 ‘Michael’s Grimmlins’ fan club members from out of state attended and were provided a reserved area at the front of the stage.
“He was born and raised within about a mile of this casino. It’s been a really special relationship we’ve developed with him,” said Hilbert. “He’s in the studio now, almost finished with his debut CD from Epic Records.
I’m sure we’ll see him back here sometime this year.”
“The Silver Slipper, and the entire county, is very proud of what he’s done.”
