Louisiana Couple Wins Over $90,000 at the Slipper

Hancock County – February 4, 2009 – Dean W. and his wife love Silver Slipper Casino and the Jubilee seafood buffet but they love winning even more, and with good reason. Dean won $50,926.19, January 31, on the Slipper’s one cent Double Diamond slot machine and his wife Deborah won $43,200.04, last November, on the Slipper’s Hot Shot Progressive slots.

The Louisiana couple became regulars at Silver Slipper Casino a year ago after Deborah and a friend picked up a free buffet rack card for the Slipper’s Jubilee Buffet at the Hancock County Visitors Center. After trying out the free buffet, Deborah went home and bragged to Dean on how great it was, which led to their first visit. The two fell in love with the seafood buffet and the Slipper, and are now weekend regulars.

But they aren’t the Slipper’s only big winners from Louisiana. Wendy Barraco from Norco, Louisiana became $1,000,000 richer on January 6, 2007 when she won Silver Slipper Casino’s “Who’s Going to be a Millionaire” cash giveaway, the first of its kind on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  Wendy, who is a Shell Oil retiree, picked up her second of five $200,000 installments, January 13.
