Hula’s Makes Huge Splash in Diamondhead and Surrounding Area

Hancock County – February 15, 2011 – Hula’s Bar & Grill, located in the former Pier House Restaurant location in Diamondhead, MS, is now open.  The new laid back, fun bar and grill offers a variety of tropical menu items and drinks for which Hawaii is known and which, operators say, ties in perfectly with the Diamondhead Community. “The response has been more than we could hope for,” said John N. Ferrucci, COO and General Manager for Silver Slipper Casino which operates Hula’s Bar & Grill.

Hula’s features several signature menu items such as the Hula Burger, 8 oz. of Certified Angus Beef with melted pepper jack cheese, a grilled slice of ham and pineapple, and lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayo on a Hawaiian Roll. “Our Hula Burger has quickly become one of our guests’ favorites, “said Ferrucci. Other dishes include Pina Colada Chicken, Coconut Fried Shrimp, Cajun Seafood Pasta, the Outrigger Catch of the Day, and Hula’s “Soon to be Famous!” chicken wings, boasted to be the “Best in the South” and becoming another favorite.

Hula’s also offers a fabulous Sunday Champagne Brunch Menu with unlimited champagne for $7.00 with each Brunch Entrée. “Our Sunday Champagne Brunch is a huge hit, especially with locals who love the fact that they can cruise right up to our pier in their boat, dock, and spend a leisurely Sunday afternoon with their friends at Hula’s.”

Hula’s features several signature mixed drinks including the Tropical “Brees” and the Lava Flow, as well as tropical frozen drinks including a Classic Margarita and Orange-Mango Daiquiri, to name a couple. The bar and grill is open Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. with daily food and drink specials, as well as a daily “Happy Hour”, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and again for the Late Night Happy Hour, 10:00 p.m. until close.

Hula’s Bar & Grill is open to the public. No membership is required to patronize Hula’s.  The 3,000 square foot bar and grill, features a large glass wall and deck which spans across the entire back of the building and overlooks the beautiful Diamondhead Marina and Bay St. Louis. Guests can easily access Hula’s from I-10 or by boat and can dine in or deck-side. “Hula’s lower deck and pier areas are perfect for special events which we’ll be announcing in the coming months,” said Ferrucci.
