Hula’s Bar & Grill to Open In Diamondhead
Hancock County – January 25, 2011 – Hula’s Bar & Grill will open, Saturday, January 29th at 6:00 p.m. in Diamondhead, MS. Hula’s, which is located in the former Pier House Restaurant location, will feature tropical cuisine and drinks for which Hawaii is known. “We wanted to freshen up the restaurant and decided to make it more of a bar with great food instead of a great restaurant that served liquor,” stated John N. Ferrucci, COO and General Manager for Silver Slipper Casino which leases the location from the Diamondhead Property Owners Association. “When you think of Diamondhead, you naturally think of Hawaii, so Hula’s seemed like the perfect name, theme and fit for the Diamondhead community and Silver Slipper guests.”
Hula’s, which is operated by Silver Slipper Casino’s award winning culinary staff, will offer guests the same great food and excellent service for which the Slipper is known. “Hula’s Bar and Grill is not a private club and will be open to the public. Membership to the Diamondhead POA or Silver Slipper Casino is not required for our guests, and we’re looking forward to Hula’s becoming a Gulf Coast favorite,” said Ferrucci.
Hula’s Bar and Grill will feature several signature menu items such as the Hula Burger,
8 oz. of Certified Angus Beef with melted pepper jack cheese, a grilled slice of ham and pineapple, and lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayo on a Hawaiian Roll. Other dishes include Pina Colada Chicken, Coconut Fried Shrimp, Cajun Seafood Pasta, the Outrigger Catch of the Day, and Hula’s “Soon to be Famous!” chicken wings, boasted to be the “Best in the South” and sure to be a favorite. Hula’s will also offer a fabulous Sunday Champagne Brunch Menu with unlimited champagne for $7.00 with each Brunch Entrée.
Hula’s will feature several signature mixed drinks, as well, including the Tropical “Brees” and the Lava Flow, as well as tropical frozen drinks including a Classic Margarita and Orange-Mango Daiquiri, to name a couple. The bar and grill will be open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week, with daily food and drink specials, as well as a daily “Happy Hour”, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and again for the Late Night Happy Hour, 10:00 p.m. until close.
Hula’s, a 3,000 square foot bar and grill, features a large glass wall and deck which spans across the entire back of the building and overlooks the beautiful Diamondhead Marina. Guests can easily access Hula’s from I-10 or by boat and can dine in or deck-side.
