Kole, a protégé of Al Hirt, began his professional career on television and in Vegas. He soon followed Hirt to
New Orleans where he honed his talent in Hirt’s Bourbon Street club. It wasn’t long after, that Kole opened his
own club which became one of the top three clubs in New Orleans, along with Hirt’s and Pete Fountain’s. “When you look up piano in the dictionary, you will see a picture of Ronnie Kole. He’s one of the great players of our time.
I can only aspire to be as great as him one day.” – Harry Connick Jr. When Kole is not performing live, he is in the studio, having made more than 32 recordings with more to come.
